Scope
HG/T 3838-2008 is the English-translated version of 橡胶 游离硫含量的测定 电位滴定法.
The free sulphur content of rubber is what HG/T 3838-2008 measures, by potentiometric titration. This recommended Chinese chemical industry standard specifies the titration procedure and the way the result is calculated and reported. It applies to raw rubber, both natural and synthetic, and to rubber compounds and vulcanizates whose free sulphur content is to be determined. The standard quotes GB/T 601, GB/T 3516 and GB/T 17783, which are applied with it. It carries the classification G40 and the international classification 83.060, and it replaces HG/T 3838-2006. Issued on 23 April 2008, it has applied since 1 October 2008.
