HG/T 3821-2006 is the English-translated version of 纳米氢氧化镁.
HG/T 3821-2006 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for nano-powder magnesium hydroxide. It sets out the types of the product, its requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, labelling, packaging, transport and storage. The standard applies to unmodified nano magnesium hydroxide obtained by chemical synthesis. Products of this kind are used chiefly as additives in plastics, rubber, resins, films and coatings, where they act as flame retardants and suppress smoke. It quotes GB/T 5950-1996, GB/T 19587-2004, GB/T 6678 and the three parts of HG/T 3696, and it is classified G11 in the Chinese system and 71.060.40 internationally. Issued on 26 July 2006, it has applied since 1 March 2007.
