HG/T 4531-2013 is the English-translated version of 阻燃剂用氢氧化镁.

HG/T 4531-2013 is the recommended chemical industry standard of China for magnesium hydroxide supplied as a flame retardant. It classifies the material and then gives the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions on marking, labelling, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to magnesium hydroxide used for flame retardancy, the grade added to polymers rather than the general technical product, which places it in the international class 71.060.40 for bases. GB/T 191-2008, GB/T 6678, GB/T 8170, GB/T 19587-2004 and HG/T 3607-2007 are quoted with it. Issued on 17 October 2013, it has applied since 1 March 2014.
