HG/T 4670-2014 is the English-translated version of 改性塑料用阻燃剂黑点和异色点的测定.
HG/T 4670-2014 is the chemical industry standard for determining black specks and off-colour specks in flame retardants used to modify plastics. It sets out two procedures: method A, wet sieving, intended for flame retardant powders that are sticky, and method B, dry sieving, for powders that are not adhesive. The choice between them therefore depends on how the powder behaves, and the result describes the cleanliness of the flame retardant rather than its performance in fire. Test sieves conform to GB/T 6003.1. The document is classified G31 in the Chinese system and 83.040.30 internationally. Issued on 14 October 2014, it has applied since 1 April 2015.
