Scope
HG/T 3818-2006 is the English-translated version of 工业过硫酸铵.
HG/T 3818-2006 is the recommended standard of the Chinese chemical industry for ammonium persulfate of industrial grade. It gives the requirements for the product together with the test methods, the inspection rules and the rules on marking, labelling, packaging, transport and storage. The salt it covers is used principally as an oxidising agent, in metal cleaning and corrosion inhibition, as a fracturing agent in oilfield work and as a desizing agent in textiles. The standard is filed under the Chinese classification G12 and the international classification 71.060.50. Analysis and sampling follow the quoted standards, which include GB 190-1990, GB/T 191-2000, GB/T 3049-1986, GB/T 6678, GB/T 9724 and the three parts of HG/T 3696. Issued on 26 July 2006, it has applied since 1 March 2007.
