HG/T 3738-2004 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for solvent-based multipurpose polychloroprene adhesives. It covers the products themselves and gives their technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules along with packaging, labelling, transport and storage. The adhesives within its scope are compounded from chloroprene rubber with tackifying resins, metal oxides, antioxidants and solvents, and they are put to work in building decoration, furniture manufacture, vehicle trim and the electrical and electronic trades. Bond strength and related properties are determined by GB/T 2793, GB/T 2794, GB/T 2909 and GB/T 3723, with GB 18583 and HG/T 3075 also called up. Issued on 14 December 2004, it has applied since 1 June 2005.
