HG/T 3344-2012 is the English-translated version of 漆膜吸水率测定法.

HG/T 3344-2012 is the recommended chemical industry standard of China that gives the method for determining the water absorption of a paint film. Under the method a coated test plate is immersed under the specified test conditions, and the result is reported as the increase in the mass fraction of the film after immersion. It belongs to the paints and varnishes field and serves the testing of coating films. It quotes GB/T 3186, GB/T 6682, GB/T 9271 and HG/T 3855-2006. It takes the place of HG/T 3344-1985. Issued on 7 November 2012, it has applied since 1 March 2013.
