HG/T 2893-2010 is the English-translated version of 碱性艳绿4B（C.I.碱性绿4）.
HG/T 2893-2010 is the recommended chemical industry standard of China for Basic brilliant green 4B, the dye indexed as C.I. Basic Green 4 and known in trade as malachite green. It lays down the product requirements, the sampling procedure, the test methods and the inspection rules, and it closes with marking, labelling, packaging, transport and storage. The standard is intended for quality control of Basic brilliant green 4B as supplied. Its checks rest on the general dye methods GB/T 2374, GB/T 2381, GB/T 2386 and GB/T 4465, on GB/T 6678, and on GB 19601 and GB 20814. It replaces the 1997 edition, HG/T 2893-1997. Issued on 22 November 2010, it has applied since 1 March 2011.
