HG/T 2570-2009 is the English-translated version of 工业硫酸铬钾.
HG/T 2570-2009 is the Chinese chemical industry standard for potassium chromium sulphate for industrial use, the double salt also known as chrome alum. It sets the requirements for the product together with the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, labelling, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to the material obtained by reducing sulphuric acid acidified potassium dichromate with organic compounds, a product used mainly as a mordant in dyeing, in ceramics, in leather tanning, in photographic fixing baths and as a complexing agent for dyes. The analytical work follows GB/T 6678, GB/T 6682-2008 and GB/T 8170, with GB/T 191-2008, GB/T 3051-2000 and the HG/T 3696.1 to HG/T 3696.3 reagent standards also cited. It replaces HG/T 2570-1994. Issued on 4 December 2009, it has applied since 1 June 2010.
