Scope
HG/T 2245-2012 is the English-translated version of 硝基铅笔漆.
HG/T 2245-2012 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for nitrocellulose (pyroxyline) lacquers used on pencils. It sets out how these lacquers are classified and lays down the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, packaging and storage.
Its scope covers lacquers whose main film former is nitrocellulose combined with an added quantity of other synthetic resin. Testing draws on a set of general coating standards, among them GB/T 1725-2007, GB/T 1735-2009, GB/T 6753.4-1998, GB/T 9286-1998 and GB/T 13491.
It replaces both HG/T 2245-1991 and HG/T 2246-1991. Issued on 7 November 2012, it has applied since 1 March 2013.
