Scope
HG/T 2240-2012 is the English-translated version of 潮（湿）气固化聚氨酯涂料（单组分）.
HG/T 2240-2012 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for single-package moisture-cured polyurethane coatings. It sets out how these coatings are classified and what is required of them, together with the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, packaging and storage. The coatings in its scope are those built on polyisocyanate prepolymers terminated with -NCO groups, which harden on contact with atmospheric moisture. It quotes the general paint methods GB/T 1722-1992, GB/T 1732-1993, GB/T 1766-2008, GB/T 1768-2006, GB/T 6739-2006, GB/T 9271-2008 and GB/T 9274-1988, among the other documents it quotes. It replaces the first edition, HG/T 2240-1991. Issued on 7 November 2012, it has applied since 1 March 2013.
