This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"

This document replaces GB/T 27735-2011 "Camping Tent". Compared with GB/T 27735-2011, except for structural adjustment and editorial changes

Besides, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) Added the revised requirements for tent fabrics given in ISO 10966.2005;

b) the requirement for stability was removed;

c) It is added that camping tents are divided into 3 grades according to their performance, and relevant requirements are given;

d) Changed the ventilation related information;

e) Changed the test method for flame retardant fabrics;

f) Changed the content of rain test to be consistent with industry practice;

g) added risk requirements related to new tents including shear and pinch points;

h) Changed the size of the sleeping area.

This document is equivalent to ISO 5912.2011 "Camping tents".

Introduction

1 Scope

This document specifies the safety, performance and comfort requirements for camping tents (hereinafter referred to as "tents").

This document applies to camping tents.

NOTE. For caravan tarpaulins see ISO 8936.Terms and definitions related to camping tents and caravan tarpaulins are given in ISO 7152.
