Scope

GB/Z 17626.40-2025 is the English-translated version of 电磁兼容 试验和测量技术 第40部分:测量调制或畸变信号电气量的数字方法.

GB/Z 17626.40-2025, identical to IEC TR 61000-4-40:2020, compares two digital methods for measuring RMS voltage, RMS current and active power when the load is fluctuating or non-periodic, using examples from 50 Hz and 60 Hz power systems.

It first defines the modulated sine waves used in the comparison, namely half-wave and full-wave rectification, multi-cycle symmetrical control and random switching, and then evaluates an averaging algorithm and a smoothing filter algorithm, including their frequency and step responses and instrument errors.

It makes no attempt to cover every numerical method for such quantities. An informative annex describes the smoothing filter studied, with generic C program code, and the terms follow IEC TR 61000-1-7. It was issued on 3 December 2025.
