Scope
GB/T 9771.7-2022 is the English-translated version of 通信用单模光纤 第7部分:弯曲损耗不敏感单模光纤特性.
GB/T 9771.7-2022 is part 7 of the Chinese national series on single-mode optical fibres for telecommunication, and covers bending loss insensitive fibre, designated type B6.
It specifies the dimensional parameters, the transmission characteristics, the mechanical properties and the environmental performance of that fibre as used in communication cables and other information transmission equipment, describes the corresponding test methods and the rounding rules, and divides type B6 into the four subcategories B6a1, B6a2, B6b2 and B6b3.
Its introduction states that the geometrical, optical and transmission parameters follow the G.657.A1, G.657.A2, G.657.B2 and G.657.B3 characteristics of ITU-T G.657:2016, and that the mechanical and environmental performance refers to B6 fibre in IEC 60793-2-50:2018.
It applies to the design, development, production and testing of B6 fibre. It replaces GB/T 9771.7-2012, was issued on 14 October 2022 and has applied since 1 May 2023.

This document replaces GB/T 9771.7-2012 "Single-mode optical fibers for communications - Part 7: Bending loss-insensitive single-mode optical fibers for access networks Compared with GB/T 9771.7-2012, except for structural adjustment and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
---Changed the scope of application of the standard, and deleted the limitation of "for access network" in the application scenario of optical fiber cable (see Chapter 1);
--- Change the applicable range of wavelengths of B6b2 and B6b3 fibers from three separate wavelengths of 1310nm, 1550nm and 1625nm Change to apply to O, E, S, C and L entire band (1260nm~1625nm) (see Chapter 5, Chapter 5 of the 2012 edition chapter);
--- Added amendment rules (see Chapter 6);
--- Added the size parameter requirements for optical fibers with a coating diameter specification of 200 µm (see 7.1.1);
--- Change optical characteristics and transmission characteristics to transmission characteristics (see 7.2, 6.2 of the 2012 edition);
--- Changed the attenuation coefficient requirements of B6b2 and B6b3, added footnotes 1310nm~1625nm, 1530nm~ Requirements for the maximum value of the attenuation coefficient at 1565nm (see 7.2.3, 6.2.3 of the 2012 edition);
--- Increased the calculation formula of the dispersion coefficient limit, changed the zero dispersion slope range of B6a1 and B6a2, increased 1550nm, For the range of 1625nm dispersion coefficient, the requirements for dispersion characteristics of B6b2 and B6b3 are added (see 7.2.4, 6.2.4 of the 2012 edition);
