Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents" drafting: This document replaces GB/T 18899-2002 "Full Dielectric Self-supporting Optical Cable": Compared with GB/T 18899-2002, except for structural adjustment and Apart from editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) The structural type composition of ADSS has been changed (see Figure 1 in 5:2, Figure 1 in 4:2 of the:2002 edition);

b) The code of the application scenario of the optical cable is added (see 5:2:3);

c) The index requirements for optical fiber ribbons have been added (see 6:1:3:2);

d) The requirements for the inner sheath are added, especially the requirements for the thickness of the inner sheath of optical cables with a span greater than 800m (see 6:1:11);

e) Deleted multimode fiber and its index requirements (see 6:4:1, 8:1:2 of the:2002 edition);

f) The requirements for fiber attenuation index after cabling are added (see 6:4:1:3);

g) Changed the requirements for the breaking force index of the optical cable (see Table 5 in 6:4:3:2, Table 4 in 8:3:2 of the:2002 edition);

h) Changed the classification requirements for decay temperature characteristics (see Table 7 in 6:4:4:2, Table 6 in 8:4:2 of the:2002 edition);

i) The test method for combustion performance has been changed (see 6:4:4:6, 9:6:6 of the:2002 edition);

j) Added requirements and test methods for outer sheath wear and loose tube bending (see 7:3:1);

k) Changed the acceptance requirements for the impact test (see 7:5:5, 8:3:4 of the:2002 edition);

l) Changed the acceptance requirements for repeated bending tests (see 7:5:6, 8:3:5 of the:2002 edition);

m) Added the bending test under tension (see 7:5:11);
