Scope

GB/T 9357-2008 is the English-translated version of 土工试验仪器渗透仪.

GB/T 9357-2008 is the Chinese specification for soil-testing permeameters, the laboratory instruments measuring the permeability coefficient of saturated clay and saturated sandy soil indoors.

It covers the terms and definitions, the product classification and composition, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, instruction manual, packaging, transport and storage requirements.

Permeameters are divided by construction into variable head and constant head types; the variable head instrument is made up of a soil sample container, a water bottle and piezometric tubes, the container itself of an upper cover, a lower cover, a ring, a cutting ring and a permeable plate.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the permeability of the terms and definitions, product classification and composition, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, Instructions for use, packaging, transportation, storage requirements.

This standard applies to indoor determination of saturated clay and saturated sand soil permeability coefficient variable head permeator and constant head permeator.

3 Terms and definitions

GB/T 15406 established and the following terms and definitions apply to this standard.

3.2 Instrument for measuring the permeability of cohesive soil

3.1 Permeameter

Geotechnical test equipment for the determination of the permeability coefficient of saturated clay and saturated sandy soil indoors.

3.3 Constant head permeameter

Used to determine the sandy soil and a small amount of gravel non-cohesive soil under the water head permeability coefficient of the instrument.

4.1 Product Classification
