Scope
GB/T 915-2010 is the English-translated version of 铋.
GB/T 915-2010 is the Chinese national product standard for bismuth produced by pyrometallurgical or electrolytic refining, metal used in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, metallurgical additives and low-melting-point alloys.
It fixes the requirements, test methods and inspection rules, and the marking, packaging, transport, storage, quality certificate and contract content.
Products are divided by chemical composition into the four grades Bi99997, Bi9999, Bi9995 and Bi998, whose impurity limits are given in tables 1 and 2; the Bi99997 grade is based on the medicinal bismuth quality certificate of the international bismuth association.
This edition adds the Bi998 grade and bismuth tablets as a physical form, together with arbitration sampling and sample preparation for needle bismuth and tablets.
Chemical analysis is by the YS/T 536 series. It was issued on 14 January 2011 and has applied since 1 November 2011.

Foreword
This standard Bi99997 grades modify medicinal uses of bismuth quality certificate provided by the International Society of bismuth, 10 impurity elements Limited and National Provisions of international Society of bismuth equivalents, arsenic technical indicators 0.0003% Bi Yan learned prescribed in international pharmaceutical bismuth.
This standard replaces GB/T 915-1995 "Bi." Compared with GB/T 915-1995 "Bi", the main changes in this standard are as follows.
--- Bi99997 in As amended by the 0.0005% 0.0003%.
--- Bi9995 of Pb from the revised 0.010% 0.008%, Ag 0.020% from the revised 0.015%, Sb repair the 0.002% Set at 0.001%, Cl from the revised 0.005% 0.004%.
--- Increased Bi998 grades;
--- Physical increased bismuth tablets;
--- Increased needle bismuth and bismuth tablets Arbitration sampling and sample preparation methods;
--- Canceled Appendix standards. The standard proposed by China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association.

3 Requirements
3.1 Categories
Different chemical composition, the product is divided into Bi99997, Bi9999, Bi9995, Bi998 four grades.
3.2 Chemical composition
Chemical composition 3.2.1 Bi99997 grades shall conform to Table 1.
