Scope
GB/T 7739.5-2021 is the English-translated version of 金精矿化学分析方法 第5部分:铅量的测定.
GB/T 7739.5-2021 is Part 5 of the Chinese national methods for the chemical analysis of gold concentrates and covers the determination of lead.
It gives two methods: Method 1, flame atomic absorption spectrometry, dissolves the sample in hydrochloric, nitric and perchloric acids and reads lead absorbance at 283.3 nm in an air-acetylene flame, for lead contents from 0.10% to 5.00%, and Method 2, a disodium EDTA titration, covers contents above 5.00% and up to 50.00% in concentrates with less than 1% barium.
For each method the standard sets out the principle, reagents, apparatus, sample, procedure, calculation, repeatability and reproducibility, and the test report.
It serves the assay laboratories of gold mining and smelting enterprises. It replaces GB/T 7739.5-2007, was issued on 20 August 2021 and has applied since 1 March 2022.
