Scope
GB/T 6891-2018 is the English-translated version of 铝及铝合金压型板.
GB/T 6891-2018 sets the requirements for aluminium and aluminium alloy profiled sheet used in civil buildings, building envelopes and automobile bodies.
It covers product marking, the quality of the base material and of fluorocarbon paint coatings, chemical composition to GB/T 3190, cross-sectional size deviation, and the film layer performance of roller-coated and spray-coated sheet, such as pencil hardness, adhesion, flexibility, impact, acid, mortar and solvent resistance.
Most film tests refer to GB/T 8013.3, and the inspection rules cover checks by both supplier and purchaser. It also specifies marking, packaging, transport, storage, the quality certificate and the contents of the ordering form, with an informative annex on typical sheet types and connection structures.
It replaces GB/T 6891-2006, was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 February 2019.
