3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2900.10 and the following apply.
3.1 specification
dimension specification of the conductor, which is represented by the nominal size a × b of narrow edge and wide edge
3.2 preferred specification
specification that takes priority over other specifications
3.3 intermediate specification
specification that is allowed but shall not be used as much as possible
3.4 specification not recommended
specification that is not recommended
3.5 straightness
maximum height of the arc when the arc or non-straight part of any narrow edge is horizontal
3.6 proof strength; plastic extension
Rp corresponding stress when the plastic elongation is equal to the specified percentage of extensometer gauge distance L0
Note: The symbol used shall be accompanied by the following footnote to indicate the specified percentage, for example, Rp0.2 refers to the stress when the specified plastic elongation is 0.2%.
