This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting. This document is Part 1 of GB/T 12971 "Contact Wires for Electric Traction". GB/T 12971 has released the following parts.

1.Copper and copper alloy contact wires;

2.Steel-aluminum composite contact wire. This document replaces GB/T 12971.1-2008 "Contact wires for electric traction - Part

1.Copper and copper alloy contact wires" and is consistent with Compared with GB/T 12971.1-2008, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

---Changed the code name and product representation method of the contact line (see Chapter 4, Chapter 3 of the.2008 edition);

---Changed the copper-silver, copper-tin and copper-magnesium alloy contact wire models (see Chapter 4, Chapter 3 of the.2008 edition);

---Added the models and electromechanical properties of copper-chromium-zirconium alloy contact wires and flat bottom double-groove contact wires (see

4.1 and Table 6);

---Changed the material requirements for contact wires (see Chapter 5, Chapter 5 of the.2008 edition);

---Deleted the specification 85 (T) for double-groove copper and copper alloy contact wires, and added specifications for flat-bottom double-groove contact wires (see 6.1, Chapter 4 of the.2008 edition);

---Changed the electromechanical properties of copper-silver, copper-tin and copper-magnesium alloy contact wires (see Table 6, Table 4 and Table 5 of the.2008 version);
