GB/T 50294-2014 — 1.0.1 In order to implement the national policy of safety first for civil nuclear facilities and the national infrastructure construction policy, follow the national laws and regulations on nuclear power plant construction, and unify the design principles and technical requirements for the general layout and transportation design of nuclear power plants, do Safe and reliable, advanced technology, reasonable layout, formulate this specification.

1.0.2 This code is applicable to the general layout and transportation design of newly built and expanded nuclear power plants.

1.0.3 The general layout and transportation design of nuclear power plants should implement the principles of economical and intensive land use, adapt measures to local conditions, compact layout, and rational partitions to improve land use efficiency.

1.0.4 For the general layout design of nuclear power plants, technical and economic comparisons of multiple schemes shall be carried out, and the design scheme shall be selected and determined.

1.0.5 The general layout design of the expansion project shall be comprehensively considered and coordinated in combination with the characteristics of the original general layout, production system and operation management.

1.0.6 The general layout and transportation design of the nuclear power plant shall not only comply with this specification, but also comply with the provisions of the current relevant national standards.
