GB/T 4925-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering how the strength of netting is measured - the mesh and knot configuration in the clamps, the rate of pull, and the breaking load and elongation of a material whose knots fail before its twine does. It replaces GB/T 4925-2008. It was issued on 27 February 2026 and has been in force since 1 September 2026, replacing GB/T 4925-2008. The document is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. This page is published from the official record of the 2026 edition; the clause text of a standard this recent is not yet in circulation, and the figures, limits and tables it contains are those of the document itself, delivered in full with the English translation.

This document supersedes GB/T 4925-2008 "Test Methods for Strength and Elongation at Break of Synthetic Fiber Fishing Nets", and is consistent with GB/T 4925- Compared to.2008, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

---Added a test method for the bursting strength of wire mesh (see 4.1, 5.1, 6.1, 7.1);

---The test conditions have been changed (see Chapter 4, Chapter 5 in the.2008 edition);

---The instruments and equipment have been changed (see Chapter 5, Chapter 4 of the.2008 edition);

---A sample selection method has been added (see 6.2.1);

---Sampling and specimen requirements have been changed (see 6.2.3, Chapter 6 of the.2008 edition);

---Sampling and sample requirements for mesh sheets under wear and other conditions have been added (see 6.2.3);

---The breaking strength and elongation at break of twisted and flat woven wire mesh have been removed (see section

7.2 of the.2008 edition);

---The experimental data processing has been changed (see Chapter 8, Chapter 8 of the.2008 edition). Please note that some content in this document may involve patents.
