Scope
GB/T 4795-2023 is the English-translated version of 船用舱底水处理装置.
GB/T 4795-2023 is the Chinese national standard for shipboard bilge water treatment plant, covering both the bilge water separator and the bilge water alarm device.
It sets their requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage, and defines isokinetic sampling with the formula that gives sampling time from the sample volume, the radius and flow rate of the device water pipe and a sampling tube inner radius of 3 mm.
Clause 1 says it applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of treatment devices rated from 0.1 to 50 cubic metres per hour. Its foreword states that insulation resistance, withstand voltage and supply fluctuation tests were added for the separator, along with environmental adaptability requirements.
It replaces GB/T 4795-2009, was issued on 6 August 2023 and has applied since 1 March 2024.

Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 4795-2009 "15ppm Bilge Water Separator". Compared with GB/T 4795-2009, except for structural adjustments and In addition to editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
---The name of test liquid A is changed to residual marine fuel oil, and the name of test liquid B is changed to marine distilled fuel oil (see 5.5.2.1, 2009 version 6.1.2.1);
---The relative densities of test liquid A, test liquid B, and test fresh water are changed to density (see 5.5.2.1, 6.1.2.2 of the 2009 edition);
---The accuracy level of flow meters, pressure gauges and thermometers is changed to level 1.6 (see 5.5.1.9~5.5.1.11, 6.1.1.9~ of the 2009 edition 6.1.1.11);
--- Added requirements and test methods for the insulation resistance test, withstand voltage test, and power supply fluctuation test of the separator (see 4.3.3~ 4.3.5, 5.8~5.10);
---Added the environmental adaptability requirements and test methods of separators (see 4.4.1~4.4.4, 5.14~5.18).
1 Scope
This document specifies the bilge water separator (hereinafter referred to as the separator) and the bilge water separator (hereinafter referred to as the separator) in the marine bilge water treatment device (hereinafter referred to as the treatment device).
Requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, etc. for water alarm devices (hereinafter referred to as alarm devices).
This document is applicable to the design, manufacturing and acceptance of treatment devices with a rated processing capacity of 0.1m³/h~50m³/h.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Isokinetic sampling
The sample enters the sampling pipe at the average flow rate of the outlet pipe. Sampling can be achieved by controlling the sampling time. The sampling time is Calculated by formula (1). (1)
In the formula. t---The value of the sampling time, the unit is seconds (s); V---the value of the sample volume, in milliliters (mL);
R---The value of the radius of the water pipe of the device, in millimeters (mm);
Q---The value of the flow rate in the water pipe of the device, in milliliters per second (mL/s); r---The value of the inner radius of the sampling tube, in millimeters (mm), r=3mm.
