1 Scope

GB/T 47181-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering inspecting a road tanker barrel - the periodic examination of the shell and baffles, the thickness and corrosion, the valves and vents, the leak and hydraulic testing, and the criteria for taking a tank out of service. First edition, 19,000 words, in force since 1 June 2026. It was issued on 27 February 2026 and has been in force since 1 June 2026, as a first edition. The document is under the responsibility of the Standardization Administration of China. This document specifies the general requirements for the inspection of metal atmospheric pressure tank bodies of tank vehicles used for road transport of liquid hazardous goods, including factory inspection and periodic inspection. Requirements for verification, attachment verification, inspection records and conclusions, inspection reports and certificates. This document applies to inspection agencies conducting inspections of atmospheric pressure metal tanks (including connected pipelines) in tank vehicles transporting liquid hazardous goods by road. The factory inspection, periodic inspection and attachment verification of the attachments.
