1 Scope

GB/T 46749-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the platform screen door - the alignment with the train and the tolerance the door has to absorb, the interlocking with the signalling that must not release until the train is stopped and correctly berthed, the obstacle detection, and the manual release for evacuation. First edition, under the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. In force from 1 May 2026. Issued on 31 October 2025, it has been in force since 1 May 2026.

This document specifies the usage conditions, system composition, structural requirements, functional requirements, and performance requirements of platform screen door systems for urban rail transit stations. Requirements, safety requirements, interface requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and accompanying documents, as well as packaging, transportation and storage. This document applies to the design, manufacture, testing, and acceptance of platform screen door systems for urban rail transit stations.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Platform screen door; PSD Located at the edge of the platform, it isolates the passenger waiting area from the track area and corresponds to the side door of the train passenger compartment, allowing for multi-level control of opening and closing. A continuous barrier to close the sliding door.
