The standard sets out the remote consultation and monitoring system and its components, then the requirements for remote audio and video consultation, for remote monitoring including the acquisition, transmission and interpretation of the physiological data, for the handling of alerts and the escalation to care, for the records and their retention, and for the security and privacy of the health information involved. It takes effect on 1 May 2025.
