1 Scope

GB/T 44446-2024 specifies the quality traceability system used in production process quality control. Traceability is only worth having if it answers the question asked in a recall: given a defect found in the field, which units share the cause, and given a batch of suspect material, which units received it. Answering either way round requires the links between lot, process, equipment, operator and product to be captured as the work happens rather than reconstructed afterwards. The standard sets the general principles, covering the architecture of the traceability system and the implementation process, then the basic functions - data collection, data query, fault investigation and analysis, and statistical analysis - and the application functions, covering traceability of production quality, purchasing quality, research and development quality, and the sales and service side, together with the requirements on the data and its security. It took effect on 23 August 2024.

This document specifies the architecture, implementation process, basic functions, and application functions of the product production process quality traceability system. Basic functions include. 3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 traceability unit Individual raw materials, components, products, or materials that require information about their history, application, or location to be recorded, identified, and traceable. products or raw materials, parts, or products from the same batch.

3.2 traceability code A code that uniquely identifies the traceability unit in the quality traceability system.
