1 Scope

GB/T 44344-2024 is the Chinese operation and maintenance specification for geographic spatiotemporal information cloud platforms, the provincial and municipal platforms that publish base mapping, imagery, addresses and real-time location data as services to government departments and to the public. They are infrastructure rather than projects: hundreds of applications depend on them, the data behind them updates continuously, and the platforms carry data whose accuracy and availability have legal consequences. The standard sets the operation and maintenance framework and then the requirements: the organisation and the responsibilities, the service level and its monitoring, the operation of the infrastructure, the data update and the version and quality management of the published data, the service catalogue and interface management, the user and access management, the security operation including the classified protection obligations that geographic data carries in China, the fault handling and the emergency response, the backup and continuity, and the assessment and improvement of the service. It took effect on 23 August 2024.
