1 Scope
This document specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and other aspects of zirconium and zirconium alloy welded pipes.
Storage, accompanying documents and order form contents.
This document is applicable to zirconium and zirconium alloy welded pipes for general industrial use (hereinafter referred to as welded pipes).

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Welded joint
A joint in which two or more parts are connected by welding.
Note. Includes weld, fusion zone and heat affected zone and adjacent parent material.
4 Categories
4.1 Welded pipes are classified by use into.
Class I - welded pipes for heat exchangers; a) Class II-welded pipes for pipelines. b) 4.2 The brand, state and specification of Class I welded pipes shall comply with the provisions of Table 1; the brand, state and specification of Class II welded pipes shall comply with the provisions of Table 2.
