Scope
GB/T 43987-2024 is the English-translated version of 软式棒垒球课程学生运动能力测评规范.
GB/T 43987-2024 is the Chinese national standard for evaluating a student's athletic ability in a tee-ball course, part of the Ministry of Education's family of school sport assessment standards. Tee-ball is the soft, batting-tee form of baseball and softball that China has adopted as the school entry point to those sports, because it removes the pitching that makes them hard to teach and the hard ball that makes them hazardous. The standard sets a six-grade classification with the attainment requirements for each level, and then the assessment for each grade in turn, giving the test items, the field and equipment, the procedure and the scoring, running from the basic batting off the tee, throwing, catching and base running of the lower grades through the fielding positions and the tactical elements to the full game requirements of the highest. It took effect on 28 May 2024.
