Scope

GB/T 43321-2023 is the English-translated version of 铜及铜合金钎焊推荐工艺规范.

GB/T 43321-2023 is the Chinese national recommended procedure specification for brazing copper and copper alloys, and clause 1 applies it to flame brazing, induction brazing and resistance brazing.

Its clauses carry the general, design, quality, process and production requirements and the repair of brazing defects, while the appendices add typical joint design recommendations, test and inspection methods, report and specification formats for the brazing procedure, and a test method based on a simplified brazed working specimen.

It defines brazing as joining where the filler metal liquidus lies above 450 °C but below the solidus of the base metal, and defines the brazer who works a torch by hand.

Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 11363 on joint strength and GB/T 33219 on brazed joint imperfections. Issued on 27 November 2023, it has applied since 1 June 2024.
