1 Scope
This method provides for the determination of tungsten powder, tungsten trioxide, tungsten, tungsten blue, purple tungsten, tungsten carbide, tungsten acid, ammonium metatungstate, ammonium paratungstate magnesium content method.
This method is suitable for tungsten powder, tungsten measure, tungsten trioxide, tungsten blue, purple tungsten, tungsten carbide, tungsten acid, ammonium metatungstate, ammonium paratungstate magnesium content set. Measurement range. 0.0003% to 0.050%.
2 Method summary
Tungsten powder, tungsten bar, fine (in) tungsten carbide particles with hydrogen peroxide decomposition; blue tungsten with hydrogen peroxide and ammonia decomposition; tungsten oxide, tungstate, paratungstate
Ammonium metatungstate aqueous ammonia decomposition; purple tungsten, tungsten carbide coarse particles after firing into tungsten trioxide with ammonia decomposition. Hydrogen peroxide, citric acid complex
Co-tungsten, determination of magnesium content in atomic absorption spectrometer.
3 Reagents
Unless otherwise indicated, used in the analysis confirmed only for the gifted class pure reagents and double distilled water.
3.1
Hydrogen peroxide (rho1.10g/mL).
Ammonia 3.2 (1 + 1).
3.3
citric acid solution (500g/L).
3.4 Magnesium standard stock solution
Weigh 0.1658g pre 1h burning magnesium oxide by 780 °C (magnesium oxide content of not less than
99.99%), placed in a beaker of 250mL, was added 20mL of hydrochloric acid (1 + 1), low dissolved with heating, cooled to room temperature. The solution was transferred to
1000mL volumetric flask, dilute with water to volume, and mix. This solution 1mL containing 100µg magnesium.
3.5 Magnesium standard solution
Pipette 10.00mL magnesium standard stock solution (3.4) into 100mL volumetric flask, dilute to the mark with water, mix uniform. This solution 1mL containing 10µg magnesium.
3.6 tungsten substrate
magnesium content is less than 0.0001%.
4 Instrument
Atomic absorption spectrometer, with a magnesium hollow cathode lamp.
Under optimum working conditions for those who can reach the following indicators can be used.
--- Characteristic concentration. in the solution was measured and consistent substrate solution, wherein the concentration of magnesium is not more than 0.01µg/mL.
--- Precision. standard solution with the highest concentration of 10 times the absorbance measurements, the standard deviation should not exceed 1.5% of the average absorbance;
With the lowest concentration of standard solution (not "zero" concentration of the standard) measuring the absorbance of 10 times, the standard deviation should not exceed the maximum
The average concentration of 0.5% absorbance.
--- Linear curve. The curve is divided into five sections according to concentration, absorbance difference between the absorbance difference between the highest and the lowest segment of the segment
Ratio should not be less than 0.7.
