Scope
GB/T 43000-2023 is the English-translated version of 家具 家用童床和折叠小床 试验方法.
GB/T 43000-2023 gives the test methods for domestic children's cots and folding cots, equivalent to ISO 7175-2. A cot is the piece of furniture a child is left alone in, unobserved, for hours at a time, and the hazards are unforgiving: a gap that traps a head, a slat that gives way, a side that can be released by the occupant, a folding mechanism that collapses. The tests are therefore mostly about what the cot does under abuse rather than under use. The standard sets the general test conditions, the test equipment, the test procedures - the dimensional and gap checks, the strength, durability and stability tests, the tests on the drop side and the folding mechanism, and the entrapment tests - and the test report. It took effect on 1 April 2024.
