1 Scope

GB/T 42601.1-2023 is Part 1 of the Chinese series on lubrication, shaft sealing and control oil systems for the petroleum, petrochemical and gas industries. These skids sit next to the compressors and turbines of a plant and are the commonest cause of an unplanned trip: the machine itself may be sound, but a plugged filter, a failed transfer valve or a lube oil pressure switch takes it offline, and in a refinery that is measured in hundreds of thousands of dollars a day. That is why the specification is so prescriptive about redundancy, materials and instrumentation. Part 1 sets the general requirements: the dimensions and units, the design, the system selection, the pressure design criteria, the basic design and the welding, then the piping - oil piping, instrument piping and process piping - and the components, instrumentation, inspection, testing and preparation for shipment. It took effect on 1 December 2023.
