1 Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, transportation and storage of turbo compressors used in fertilizer plants.

This document applies to air compressors, raw gas compressors, synthesis gas compressors, ammonia compressors, and carbon dioxide compressors for fertilizer plants.

Manufacturing of turbo compressors (referred to as “compressors”) such as turbo compressors and nitrogen oxide compressors.

This document does not apply to integrally geared centrifugal compressors.
