Scope
GB/T 42327-2023 is the English-translated version of 船用固定式化学干粉灭火系统.
GB/T 42327-2023 is the Chinese national standard for fixed dry chemical powder fire-extinguishing systems on board ships.
Clause 1 says it specifies the classification and marking, the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marks, packaging, transport and storage of such systems, and applies to their design, manufacture and inspection; fixed dry powder systems on offshore jack-up platforms and at gas fuel filling stations may use it as a reference.
It defines the chemical dry powder agent as fine particles obtained by co-grinding a base material such as sodium or potassium bicarbonate with a dispersant. Among the standards it quotes are GB 16668-2010, GB 4066 on dry powder agents and the GB/T 2423 environmental tests for low temperature, damp heat, vibration, salt spray and tilt and swing. Issued on 17 March 2023, applicable since 1 October 2023.
