Foreword

Clauses 5 and 7 of this standard are mandatory; the rest are recommendatory.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB 19156-2003 General technical specifications for fire monitors. Compared with GB 19156-2003, apart from editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

- the terms and definitions have been modified (see Clause 3; Clause 3 of the 2003 edition);

- the types classified by discharge medium have been modified (see 4.1.1; 4.1.1 of the 2003 edition);

- the types classified by driving mode have been modified (see 4.1.2; 4.1.2 of the 2003 edition);

- the classification of mobile fire monitors by mode of movement has been added (see 4.1.5);

- the method of compiling fire monitor models has been modified (see 4.2; 4.2 of the 2003 edition);

- appearance requirements and test methods for electroplated parts have been added (see 5.1.3);

- performance requirements and test methods for components have been added (see 5.2, 6.2);

- some requirements and test methods for operating performance have been added (see 5.3, 6.3);

- the performance parameters have been moved into Clause 5 (see 5.3, 5.4; Clause 5 of the 2003 edition);

- the requirements and test methods for the discharge performance of fire monitors have been modified (see 5.4, 6.4; Clause 5 of the 2003 edition);

- the requirements and test methods for hydraulic sealing performance have been modified (see 5.5, 6.5; 6.4 of the 2003 edition);

- the requirements and test methods for hydraulic strength performance have been modified (see 5.6, 6.6; 6.5 of the 2003 edition);

- requirements and test methods for high and low temperature performance have been added (see 5.7, 6.7);

- performance requirements and test methods for remote-controlled fire monitors have been added (see 5.8, 6.8);

- performance requirements and test methods for fire monitor trailers have been added (see Annex A).
