Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents" drafting.
1 Scope
This document specifies the laboratory method for the determination of the activity of radionuclide 106Ru in seawater using gamma spectrometer.
This document is applicable to the analysis and determination of 106Ru in seawater. The analysis and determination of 106Ru in nuclear industry wastewater can refer to this document.
2 Normative references
The contents of the following documents constitute the essential provisions of this document through normative references in the text. Among them, dated references For documents, only the version corresponding to the date is applicable to this document; for undated reference documents, the latest version (including all amendments) is applicable to this document.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 The radioactive activity per unit volume of a substance
[Source: GB/T 4960.1-2010, 3.58, modified]
3.2 Radioactive equilibrium
Radioactive equilibrium is only possible if the half-life of the precursor nuclide is longer than that of any other daughter nuclide in the decay chain.
If the half-lives of the precursor nuclides are so long that changes in the overall balance of the precursor nuclides are negligible during the period under consideration, then all The radioactivity of the nuclides will be nearly equal, and this equilibrium is called long-term equilibrium. Otherwise, it is called temporary equilibrium. [Source: GB/T 4960.1-2010,3.29]
4 Principles of the method
106Ru is a pure beta radionuclide, which will generate short-lived daughter 106Rh after beta decay. 106Rh decays in two ways. beta decay and gamma decay The activity of 106Rh in environmental samples can be measured by gamma spectrometer. The activity of 106Ru in the sample is based on the electrons in radioactive equilibrium with it The activity of the body nuclide 106Rh was determined.
Sodium sulfide and nickel nitrate reagents were added to seawater to form nickel sulfide precipitates and enrich 106Ru under the condition of pH value 8~9, and gamma-energy spectrometer was used to Take measurements. The activity of 106Ru in seawater was calculated by measuring the 106Rh activity of 106Ru progeny.
