Scope
GB/T 42129-2022 is the English-translated version of 数据管理能力成熟度评估方法.
GB/T 42129-2022 turns the data management capability maturity model of GB/T 36073 into a procedure that someone can actually run and defend. The principles governing an assessment come first, then the assessment process itself, broken into a preparation phase, a formal assessment phase and a results confirmation stage that closes the loop with the organisation being assessed. The judgment method follows: how weights are assigned to the capability domains, how scores are calculated from them, and how the calculated figure maps onto a maturity level. A normative annex carries the correspondence table between how far a maturity requirement is satisfied and the score it earns, and that table is the part that stops two assessors reading the same evidence and reporting different levels. Without it a maturity level is an opinion, and the organisations that publish such a rating, or buy from a supplier that holds one, have no way to compare two results or to repeat the exercise a year later and see movement. Written for assessment bodies and their assessors, and for the data governance teams inside enterprises that commission or prepare for an assessment.
