3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 False alarm
When there is no explosive in the detection cavity of the device, the device will alarm.
3.2 False alarm rate
The percentage of false alarm times and detection times when there is no explosive in the detection cavity of the equipment.
3.3 Detectionprobability
The percentage of equipment alarm times and detection times when explosives are placed in the equipment detection cavity.
