Scope

GB/T 41968-2022 is the English-translated version of 乳化废液处理处置方法.

GB/T 41968-2022 sets out the treatment and disposal methods for emulsified waste liquid and the environmental protection requirements that accompany them.

Emulsified waste liquid is defined as the oil/water or hydrocarbon/water emulsion mixtures produced in metal processing and surface treatment, petroleum refining and processing, aluminium rolling and other non-specific industries.

The first method it describes is oil separation - air flotation - oxidation - biochemical treatment, suitable for waste liquid with a chemical oxygen demand (CODCr) less than 50000 mg/L: the liquid is degreased in a grease trap, dosed with coagulant and floated, then Fenton-oxidised, neutralised and press-filtered to drop the sludge before biochemical treatment.

It quotes GB 8978 for wastewater discharge, GB 16297 for air pollutants and GB/T 19923 for reclaimed water. Issued on 30 December 2022, it has applied since 1 July 2023.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Emulsifying waste liquid

Oil/water, hydrocarbon/water emulsion mixtures produced in metal processing and surface treatment, petroleum refining and processing, aluminum rolling and other non-specific industries Combine liquid.

4 Disposal methods

4.1 Oil separation-air flotation-oxidation-biochemical method

4.1.1 Scope of application

It is suitable for emulsified waste liquid with chemical oxygen demand (CODCr) less than 50000mg/L.

4.1.2 Method summary

The waste liquid is discharged into the grease trap, and the floating oil in the waste liquid is separated by means of gravity separation. Add coagulant to the waste liquid after isolation and degreasing, The air flotation system is used for further treatment, so that the oil droplets and flocs in the wastewater collide with a large number of highly dense ultra-micro bubbles released by the air flotation equipment Adhesion to form air-bearing scum, and oil-water separation is achieved under the action of air flotation. The waste liquid in the lower layer is then oxidized to further improve the waste liquid's reliability.

Biochemical, the wastewater after Fenton oxidation is neutralized and press-filtered to remove the sludge, and the wastewater is discharged up to the standard by biochemical treatment.

4.1.3 Process flow

The process flow of oil separation-air flotation-oxidation-biochemical treatment of emulsified waste liquid is shown in Figure 1.
