Scope
GB/T 41822-2022 is the English-translated version of 核聚变堆高温承压部件的热氦检漏方法.
GB/T 41822-2022 describes how to leak-test a high-temperature pressure-bearing component of a nuclear fusion reactor with helium while the part is hot and pressurised inside.
It covers the symbols, the general requirements, the test equipment, the vacuum hot helium leak detection procedure and the test report, and defines the quantities involved: helium purity, system error, the noise floor, the background signal and background noise, the largest change in background leak rate in the five minutes after it settles, occasional large pulses excluded.
A test counts as hot when the part under test is above 80 °C, the temperature set from its service conditions or by the customer. It applies to fusion reactor pressure-bearing and vacuum chamber parts, vacuum sealed structures and similar components in other fields. Issued on 14 October 2022, it has applied since 1 May 2023.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.
1 Scope
This document describes the helium leak detection test method for high temperature pressure-bearing components of nuclear fusion reactors at high temperature and under high pressure helium pressure inside.
This document is applicable to high temperature pressure-bearing parts of nuclear fusion reactors, vacuum chamber parts of fusion reactors, vacuum sealed structural parts and other parts operating in high temperature environment It can be used for the tightness test of components under ambient conditions, and the tightness test of high temperature or high temperature pressure-bearing components in other fields.
2 Normative references
The contents of the following documents constitute essential provisions of this document through normative references in the text. Among them, dated citations documents, only the version corresponding to that date applies to this document; for undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 12604.7-2021 and the following apply to this document.
3.1 Background leak rate
A steady or fluctuating leak detector output signal due to residual tracer gas or other substances in the detector response.
3.2 Background noise
The maximum change in the amplitude of the background leak rate within 5 minutes after the background leak rate is stabilized.
Note: Occasional large pulse values are not taken into account.
3.3 Hot helium leak test
Helium leak detection test performed at high temperature (greater than 80°C) of the tested part.
Note: The test temperature is determined according to the actual operating conditions of the component under test or user requirements.
4 Symbols
The following symbols apply to this document. C. Purity of helium, %. D. System error, %. In. noise floor, Pa·m3/s.
