Scope

GB/T 41537-2022 is the English-translated version of 积雪面积遥感产品真实性检验.

GB/T 41537-2022 sets out how the authenticity of snow cover area remote sensing products is checked. It specifies the reference objects, the basic requirements, the inspection methods and the inspection report.

The inspection methods cover the choice of method, the direct method for snow cover area binary products and for snow cover area ratio products, and the indirect method.

The report clause fixes the cover information, the text information covering the product under test, the reference object, the method and process, the conclusion and additional information, and the summary table.

Informative annexes give ways of obtaining binary and ratio maps from high spatial resolution data, a spatial consistency conversion method, error-matrix accuracy and uncertainty calculations and a sample report.

It cites GB/T 36296-2018 and GB/T 39468-2020, was issued on 11 July 2022 and has applied since 1 February 2023.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.

This document is proposed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

This document is under the jurisdiction of the National Standardization Technical Committee of Remote Sensing Technology (SAC/TC327).

Introduction

Snow cover affects radiation balance, energy exchange and hydrological cycle at the global scale, and is an important input variable for hydrological and climate models. remote Sensory monitoring of snow cover has the characteristics of macroscopic, rapid, dynamic and economical, and it is an important way to monitor snow cover.

At present, the widely used remote sensing products of snow area mainly include two types of remote sensing products of snow area binary value and ratio of snow area.

With the improvement of satellite observation capabilities and the development of inversion algorithms, remote sensing products for snow area have become increasingly mature.

Sexual inspection work still lags far behind the production of products, and there is a lack of a set of effective verification operation specifications. Formulate scientific and normative Authenticity test standard for binary remote sensing products of snow area and remote sensing products of snow area ratio, to standardize the authenticity of remote sensing products of snow area The inspection workflow is conducive to a comprehensive and objective evaluation of its accuracy and uncertainty, thereby promoting the quality improvement of snow cover remote sensing products and promoting into its quantitative application.

1 Scope

This document specifies the reference objects, basic requirements, inspection methods and inspection reports for the authenticity inspection of snow area remote sensing products.

This document is suitable for the authenticity test of binary products and proportional products in snow cover remote sensing products.

2 Normative references

The contents of the following documents constitute essential provisions of this document through normative references in the text. Among them, dated citations documents, only the version corresponding to that date applies to this document; for undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

GB/T 39468-2020 General method for authenticity inspection of terrestrial quantitative remote sensing products

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 36296-2018, GB/T 39468-2020 and the following apply to this document.

3.1 Snow pixel

The figure type contains only snow-covered cells.

3.2 Mixed snow pixel

In addition to the snow surface cover, the ground object type also includes other surface-covered pixels.

3.3 Non-snow pixel

The figure type does not contain snow-covered cells.

3.4 Snow depth

The vertical depth from the snow surface to the ground beneath the snow.

Note: Snow depth is the most basic physical quantity for snow observation, and is an important parameter for snow water equivalent estimation, water balance in the basin and simulation of snowmelt runoff. Commonly used units for centimeters (cm).

3.5 Snow cover area binary remote sensing product

Pixels only indicate whether the surface cover is a snow cover type remote sensing product of snow cover.

Note: All pixels are divided into two types. "snow pixels" and "non-snow pixels", and each pixel can only take one of the types.

3.6 Snow cover area ratio remote sensing product

The pixel represents the snow cover area remote sensing product of the snow cover type.

Note: Cells include mixed snow cells, snow cells and non-snow cells.
