Scope

GB/T 41203-2021 is the English-translated version of 光伏组件封装材料加速老化试验方法.

GB/T 41203-2021 describes an accelerated aging test method for the materials used to encapsulate photovoltaic modules: glass, encapsulating adhesive film, backsheets and similar materials.

It specifies the two test chambers, a high pressure cooking aging box and an ultraviolet high temperature and high humidity aging box, and how the glass, film laminate and backsheet samples are prepared.

The test steps run from pretreatment and initial measurements through the pressure cooker (PCT) test and the UV exposure at 85 °C and 85% relative humidity to the measurements repeated after aging.

Results are expressed as the change in solar effective transmittance for glass, the yellowness index difference and peel strength for film, and the retention of elongation at break for backsheets, followed by the test report. It was issued on 31 December 2021 and has applied since 1 July 2022.
