Scope
GB/T 41089-2021 is the English-translated version of 基于雷电临近预警的电子系统隔离防雷技术规范.
GB/T 41089-2021 is a Chinese national technical specification for protecting electronic systems from lightning by isolating them when a lightning nowcast warns that a strike is imminent.
It applies to the low-voltage distribution lines and signal lines of electronic systems. The document sets the basic requirements, the methods and procedures for isolation and the way the effect of the protection is evaluated, with a normative annex on signal isolators and an informative annex on lightning warning levels.
It defines terms such as lightning nowcasting and warning, electronic system, target area and isolation. It does not apply where there is no backup power supply and operation must continue without interruption. It was issued on 31 December 2021 and has applied since 1 July 2022.
