1 Scope

This document provides general principles, extraction methods, and guidance for health, safety and environmental management of coalbed methane surface extraction in coal mining areas.

This document applies to the surface extraction of coalbed methane in coal mining areas.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

4 General principles

4.1 Surface extraction of coalbed methane in coal mining areas should comply with GB 21522, AQ1081, AQ1082 and Safety Regulations for Surface Development and Utilization of Coalbed Methane (Trial)", etc.

4.2 The surface extraction of coalbed methane in the coal mining area follows the principles of "gas extraction first, coal mining later" and "coordinated development of coal and coalbed methane", and realizes extraction first, then extraction, and extraction at the same time The mining and extraction standards shall be met, the effective connection of gas and coal mining shall be promoted, and the orderly utilization of coalbed methane and coal resources shall be ensured.

4.3 The ground pre-drainage of coalbed methane in the coal mining area should first carry out a trial extraction test to evaluate the effect of the trial extraction. The evaluation of the extraction effect should be in accordance with GB/T 34547 implement. Combined with the underground mining plan of the coal mine, the surface extraction of coalbed methane in different production stages and areas of the coal mine is determined.

4.4 Coal mine planning area, coal mine preparation area, and coal mine production area should take into account the multi-purpose functions of one well.
