Scope
NB/T 10001-2014 is the English-translated version of 煤层气压裂作业规范.
NB/T 10001-2014 is a recommended energy industry standard of China dealing with fracturing operations in coalbed methane wells. It covers how the fracturing scheme is designed and how the fracturing method, the equipment, the fracturing fluid and the proppant are chosen.
It also sets the construction method, the operating sequence, the site acceptance requirements, the quality, health, safety and environmental requirements, and the summarising and handover of the resulting data.
The standard applies to the design and the construction of hydraulic fracturing in coalbed methane wells. Among the documents it quotes are SY/T 5107, SY/T 5325, SY/T 5467-2007, SY 5727-2007, SY/T 6277-2005 and SY/T 6610-2005. Issued on 18 March 2014, it has applied since 1 August 2014.
