NB/T 14020.2-2020 is the second part of the recommended Chinese energy industry series on shale gas tools and equipment, and deals with dissolvable fracturing bridge plugs.
It fixes the way their types and models are designated, the technical characteristic parameters, and the detection methods and requirements used to check them. It then covers construction preparation, the steps and requirements of on-site operation, and the emergency measures to be taken.
The part applies both to indoor performance testing of dissolvable fracturing bridge plugs and to their field operation. It quotes GB/T 20970, NB/T 14002.4 and SY/T 5587.5. Issued on 23 October 2020, it has applied since 1 February 2021.
