Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.
This document is the third part of GB/T 40778 "Internet of Things System Implementation of Web-Oriented Open Services". GB/T 40778 has The following sections were published.

--- Part 3: Object discovery methods.
Introduction
This document mainly solves the problem of how objects are discovered in systems oriented to Web open services, in order to improve collaboration between IoT systems performance, accelerate the integration of the IoT industry chain and promote the rapid and standardized development of the IoT. GB/T 40778 "Internet of Things Open Web Services System Implementation of Service" consists of 3 parts.
--- Part 1: Reference Architecture. The purpose is to provide a set of Internet of Things system architecture for Web open services.
--- Part 2: Object description method. The purpose is to unify the description of objects between heterogeneous IoT systems oriented to Web open services.
--- Part 3: Object discovery methods. The purpose is to provide an object discovery method for Web open services.
1 Scope
This document describes the object discovery method framework, discovery process and method implementation in the Internet of Things system oriented to Web open services.
This document is applicable to the design, development, application and maintenance of IoT systems oriented to Web open services.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Object
An object in the physical or information world that can be identified and integrated into a communication network. [Source: GB/T 40778.1-2021, 3.5]
3.2 Object description
The virtual objects generated by the devices and data connected to the Internet of Things are represented in a unified and standardized format. [Source: GB/T 40778.2-2021, 3.1]
3.3 Object register
Generate a unified and standardized object description file for objects that are connected to the Internet of Things system oriented to Web open services for the first time process.
3.4 Object discovery
In the Internet of Things system oriented to Web open services, according to the object description, find and obtain the specific functional requirements and non-functional requirements. The process of seeking an object.
Note: Object discovery is one of the functions of Chapter 6 Web Functional Components in GB/T 40778.1-2021.
3.5 Object discovery center
A system that provides functions such as object registration management, object discovery request management, object identifier resolution, and object discovery result management.
